I started EarningsMoat because I wanted a rigorous, transparent way to assess earnings quality and competitive moats — the kind of analysis most retail-oriented tools skip.

Background

Independent builder focused on financial data tooling. I come at earnings analysis from an engineering perspective: if a number in a report can't be traced back to a specific line in the 10-K, it doesn't belong in the analysis.
